Drop-In Centre
Every Friday evening from 7:00PM to 11:00PM we host a drop-in centre for local youth aged 11 and up. We have tons of fun things to do. We have a foosball table, air hockey table, pool table, ping pong table, Golden Tee golf game, Playstation 2, and a snack bar with lots of junk food.
We invite everyone to come out and join us Friday Evenings!
OUR MISSION
WAKE is more than the name of our youth group. It also signifies the mission we decided to adopt as a group and as individuals.
To begin we looked at some defenitions of the word wake, these are the three which interested us the most:
1. the track of waves left by a ship or other object moving through the water
2. to become roused from a tranquil or inactive state
3. to open your eyes and see the world in a whole new way
Our mission is based on Romans 13:8-14.
Our Mission:
We should be a group and individuals whom leave a positive impression on those around us(like the wake left by a boat.) This is done by causing our friends and loved ones to wake up and open their eyes to see the world in a whole new way. This will be done by introducing them to a relationship with Jesus Christ.
This impression will be caused by showing the love of Christ through our lives while living out the passage read above. "Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for he who loves his fellowman has fulfilled the law." Romans 13:8
